As the systems engineer and architect on our team, you will provide Technical Oversight, System Architecture experience, lead the Analysis of Alternatives effort, as well as being responsible for key deliverables for the project. You will develop the overarching security strategy and apply this to system sub-components. You will also develop an in-depth understanding of the client’s product concept to anticipate potential security risks, identify areas of weakness, and specify and plan for the security solutions needed to mitigate potential security vulnerabilities and threats. Throughout the project you will maintain an awareness of advanced security techniques and technologies to bring best of breed solutions to the client. You will apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge to the project. Together with the rest of the team you will develop and contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Additionally, you will provide PM support and lead cross-functional teams, establish specific technical tasks, and review and guide activities of team members.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience working directly with clients to gather system and network information to help create and update cyber security solutions
- 5+ years of experience with architecting or designing complex system solutions
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering (DE)
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
- Ability to develop alternative solutions to support large complex security solutions or security management systems
- Ability to evaluate agency environments for security improvements
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Nice If You Have:
- 2+ years of experience with Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), NIST, NIAP, or Common Criteria security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) security documentation tool
- Experience working with the DoD or Army
- Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies and architectures, or with Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Experience with Sensor or Modular Open Systems Architectures (SOSA and MOSA)
- Knowledge of zero-trust security architectures
- Knowledge of NIST security controls, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), or security compliance
- TS/SCI clearance
- CISM, CISSP, CASP, or GIAC-GSLC Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
