Logistics Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Direct and coordinate program activities and supportability engineering designed to provide customers, management, and subcontractors with logistics technology that ensures effective and economical support concerned with manufacturing or servicing of products, systems, or equipment. Apply specific functional knowledge; working and general industry knowledge. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with the DoD or DoE
  • Experience with providing program management or logistics support
  • Knowledge of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)
  • Knowledge of program, engineering, and logistics requirements for weapons programs
  • Ability to identify program events and activities critical for nuclear weapon life cycle planning, execution and risk management activities
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • AA or AS Degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop and maintain an approach for conducting independent assessments and modeling of technical and programmatic logistics activities, including transportation capabilities
  • Ability to develop an overall Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA) framework to cover acquisition logistics and sustainment activities to assess general policies and procedures
  • BA or BS Degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
