Staff Engineer

The Challenge:

Work will pertain to assembly and fabrication of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components or equipment to include the operations and repair of electronic testers. You’ll be able to use diagnostic equipment, understand mechanical and electrical design processes, and read, write, and understand technical documents and schematics. You’ll work independently with little guidance and as a team as the situation dictates and follow established safety practices and requirements. Be knowledgeable of electrical safety standards, commercial power supplies, and base knowledge of thermodynamics. You’ll contribute new knowledge to programs and projects and apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and practical application of the general and specific technical aspects of the job to complete varied and complex work. You’ll also make recommendations for new procedures.

You Have:

  • Experience as an electrical and mechanical technician
  • Experience with soldering and printed circuit card rework
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and testers
  • Ability to read, write, and create technical documents
  • Secret clearance
  • Associate’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with military avionics
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics
  • Knowledge of commercial power supplies and systems
  • Top Secret clearance
  • IPC Soldering Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
