Software Configuration and Release Manager

Key Role:
Protect the integrity of a project’s delivered products, from code to technical documentation, and leverage modern configuration, application, and life cycle management tools and processes to maintain version control for software code, packages, libraries, containers, virtual machines, releases, and documents. Analyze the development and maintain the project’s Configuration Management (CM) Plan, facilitate Configuration Control Boards, and establish the Configuration Management Library. Provide support to implement an enterprise change management system, including implementation and facilitation of change management processes, procedures, and tools. Leverage knowledge of CM best practices, approaches, and workflow alternatives and implement Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes, activities, and plans. Review existing Change, Configuration, and Release Management processes and evaluate based on the ITSM framework. Support, design, and configure Configuration Change and Release Management tools per the processes to manage configuration items with change management and design. Schedule, update, and participate in change management boards, draft documentation, and present to boards for decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with ITIL, Process Improvement, Performance Measurement, Organizational Analysis and Design, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including development, implementation, and auditing, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Agile Scrum Methodologies, or DevOps
-8+ years of experience with configuring and customizing configuration management tools and applications, including ServiceNow, Serena, Apache Subversion, JIRA, Jenkins, IBM Rational Suite, or Remedy
-5+ years of experience with managing configuration item (CI) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) documentation and reporting, including incident, problem, change, configuration, and release management
-Experience with CM tools administration, user management, and integration for JIRA, and Confluence
-Experience with ITIL and Service Level Agreements (SLA) management
-Secret clearance
-B.A. or B.S. degree
-DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Certification
