Technical Writer and Editor

Key Role:

Support an OSD-level office responsible for establishing, maintaining, and propagating state-of-the-art engineering practices through the analysis of policy, guidance, and standards. Develop, edit, and format content related to executive-level tasking. Leverage and analyze established requirements in the DoD Guides and Manuals on written correspondence when developing products.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with technical editing
  • Experience writing at a strategic level about engineering or other technical concepts
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working on OSD, Service, or Joint Staffs
  • Knowledge of DoD writing style guides
  • Ability to communicate with senior leaders to inform strategic direction
  • MA or MS degree
