Military Budget Support Analyst

Key Role:

Work as an experienced, qualified subject matter expert, including analyzing budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds. Monitor, track, and review obligations, expenditures, reimbursable orders, and requests for allotments, including identifying and reporting differences. Provide advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and information and compile, prepare, and convey information about the budget and programs to Army National Guard (ANG) ISR resource staff. Analyze budget formulation work involving the review and preparation of annual funding needs for one or more future budget years for assigned activities and accounts. Perform research and analyses from past, current, and future year requirements of budgets submitted by assigned divisions to ensure their consistency, accuracy, and adherence to instructions. Conduct analyses, reviews, and special studies of budget and information for assigned programs. Evaluate results for possible effects on ANG ISR program plans and funding.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with budgeting, including DoD and commercial

-Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes used to formulate, justify, and execute an assigned budget, including supporting the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of support activities or organizations

-Knowledge of automated data processing software programs and capabilities used to accomplish budget or funding tasks

-Active TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

-Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills for usage with diverse teams of geographically dispersed professionals

-Possession of excellent client service, problem–solving, analytical, organizational, and planning skills
