Data Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a Big Data Engineer on our commercial team, you’ll work with engineering experts to help design, develop, and deliver implementations of complex big data solutions for some of the world’s largest Fortune 100 companies. You’ll work within the commercial data engineering team to deliver scalable, highly efficient solutions across AWS, Azure, and on premises environments to deliver production ready systems. We’re looking for an experienced professional like you with excellent technical and communication skills to join our rapidly growing team!

Using your software engineering experience, you’ll help analyze the environment to ensure that your solutions consider the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You’ll strengthen your skills as you master new tools and techniques to identify and implement system improvements, solving the cybersecurity challenges of some of the world's largest corporations. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with programming in Java or Python

  • 3+ years of experience with designing solutions in AWS or Azure

  • 2+ years of experience with big data application design and deployments in Hadoop

  • Experience with design and implementation of complex systems data storage, analytics, and extract, transform, and load

  • Experience building dashboards in tools, including Tableau, to deliver important insights into data

  • Ability to collaborate with others

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with optimizing data pipelines to reduce costs, data volumes, or reduce query times

  • Ability to write and maintain serverless code, including Azure functions and AWS Lambda

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $110,000 - $145,000 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $110,000 - $145,000 (annualized USD)
