Data as a Service Architect

Key Role:

Initiate data architecture-related activities, including service and system level designs using open architecture principles. Drive modern implementation plans for data sharing, cloud-based, and distributed data access. Ensure designed systems maintain excellent data provenance, data security, and alignment with military data sharing principles. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with driving, developing, and operationalizing technical solutions and data platforms, including in a data science, data engineering, data architect, or software development role

-Experience with working in the cyber domain, handling cyber event data, and integrating advanced technology into cyber missions

-Experience with architecting, designing, and developing modern data platforms and services based on open architecture principles

-Experience with leading distributed, highly technical full-stack development teams

-Experience with configuring distributed API architectures to handle data sharing, data transport, and data access across integrated machine interfaces

-Experience in working with data for the federal government and military operations

-Experience in developing custom API interfaces and working with big data technologies, including Spark, Hadoop, or Hive

-Experience in working with cloud providers and available services to support data storage, data sharing, and data access in common cloud providers, including Azure or AWS

-Secret clearance

-BA or BA degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working for a cloud service provider designing and implementing modern cloud solutions for data sharing and data access

-Experience in working with cyber mission data to support data ingestion, data labeling, and analytic development

-Experience with designing and developing user interfaces that support mission needs and enable rapid discovery of key insights from data repositories

-Experience with designing solutions that ensure data security, data provenance, and controlled visibility and access to available data and information

-Experience with designing, developing, and deploying Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning solutions

-Knowledge of data sharing policies, security requirements for data access, and data ownership policies in the federal government

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-MA or MS degree
