As a Systems Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape satellite communications systems by managing the system development life cycle of satellite communications data controller software. Your customer will trust you to not only design, develop, and test these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. Your Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise will be vital as you to develop strategies for system behavioral analysis, requirements verification, and test planning, and interface integration and management for a complex software application that will connect the tactical edge to defense networks. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like modern software development processes like Agile and Dev SecOps, modeling, simulation, data analysis, defense networks, and cybersecurity. You will focus on requirements definition and management, as well as test and evaluation, taking advantage of Digital Engineering capabilities, growing your skills by merging systems engineering and satellite communications to create the next generation of tactical data communications. You Have:

  • 4 years of experience in design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including requirements analysis, interface designs, architecture development, and test plans for software programs
  • Experience with using MBSE tools and the application of SysML, UML, UPDM, or UAF
  • Knowledge of DoD enterprise networks, tactical radios, data transmission capabilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with narrowband, wideband, and protected satellite communications
  • Knowledge of DoD standards, handbooks, instructions, and guidelines for Systems Engineering and test and evaluation
  • Knowledge of modern software development processes
  • Ability to conduct requirements traceability analyses to support test and evaluation, planning, modeling and simulation, and verification and validation activities
  • Ability to lead small teams
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • MA or MS degree in Systems Engineering
  • INCOSE or OCSMP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
