Network Operations Center Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

As we support our client in addressing both the nation's near-term and enduring strategic challenges in cyberspace, we need motivated engineers to sustain and modernize their operational infrastructure. Whether you come from a background in network engineering, systems administration, or software development – if you have a passion for integrating proven technologies to optimize network operations, we need you.

As a network operations center engineer on our team, you’ll work with your client to support threat hunt operational infrastructure. You’ll provide network administration, monitoring, and maintenance in support of the warfighter. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in Cybersecurity while assisting our team in modernizing your client's network operations center and broadening your knowledge base. You have:

  • Experience with network administration and maintenance operations

  • Experience with JIRA

  • Knowledge of basic Linux administration

  • Knowledge of basic server administration

  • Knowledge of Splunk fundamentals

  • Ability to resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth-running of the network operation center

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with LibreNMS or Splunk ITSI infrastructure monitoring software

  • Experience with Hypervisor software

  • Experience with remote desktop software, including Guacamole

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning software, including Nessus

  • Knowledge of automated hardware configuration and provisioning tools

  • Knowledge of data flow automation software, including NiFi

  • Knowledge of LDAP authentication and authorization software

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
