Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled Systems Engineer can be the difference that makes a project successful. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting multiple research and development projects for our government clients? We’re looking for a Systems Engineer with knowledge of Windows administration in a virtualized environment. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to help us maintain and improve the networks and systems we support, providing the client with a functional and secure platform for analysis and development.
As Systems Engineer on our project, you’ll maintain responsibility for activities related to system operations and administration. You’ll help to design and implement improvements to hardware and software architecture and configurations, create and modify scripts used for system administration in languages, including Bash and PowerShell, maintain and provide life cycle support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting issues, creating or maintaining software baseline, and assisting with software configuration control, and maintain source code and scripts in standard location for team access and review. You’ll perform Windows system setup and management for both physical and virtual Operating Systems (OS), including provisioning, configuration, patching and update management, and platform securing or hardening. You’ll help customers to overcome challenges by recommending improvements to existing components and processes, create and maintain all appropriate documentation, and document and support configuration management processes. You’ll provide your customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement, communicate those needs to the team, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Join our team and solve daily challenges.
