Systems Administration Digital Solutions Engineer, Senior Manager

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced technical leader with experience leading systems administration or network administration teams on a systems delivery or digital solutions job, interested in being trained and expanding into Cross Domain solutions to help us design and deploy our industry leading Cross Domain Solution. As a newly trained Cross Domain Specialist on our project, you’ll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and best implementation strategies.

You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the teamwork through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with systems administration or solutions architecture

  • 5+ years of experience with Linux Systems Administration for RHEL 7 or RHEL 9, including architectural design or operations and sustainment capacity

  • 2+ years of experience with leading a functional team on a systems delivery or digital solutions project, including a systems administration or a networking administration team

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Compliance Certification within 60 days of hire date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Cross Domain Solutions, including Forcepoint High-Speed Guards, OWL Diodes, Radiant Mercury, or ISSE Guards

  • Experience with the design, deployment, and implementation of Network Security components, firewalls, switches, or VPNs

  • Experience with data flow engineering or operations

  • Experience with VMWare ESXi, vSphere, or vRealize Operations

  • Experience with creating tailored Linux Operating systems through Kickstart or PXE

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies, including Chef, Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack

  • DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Compliance Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $122,200.00 to $227,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
