AI Software Signals Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:  

As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to developing software that is based on communications and RF theory. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to help develop cutting edge communications theory algorithms that leverage machine learning.

At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform the national security spaces. Our team works to research new and innovative ways to leverage machine learning to develop new hardware and software packages that can process traditional RF theory algorithms. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer, with a background in signal processing, embedded processing, RF theory, or software development to help us design and develop new tools for these hard signal processing problems. On our team, you’ll learn how to utilize your skills and background to help the team develop new algorithms that leverage machine learning but operate on traditional communications theory principles. This is a chance to grow your software development, RF theory, and embedded processing skills while gaining experience in machine learning. Take on exciting challenges in Aerospace researching new ways of implementing RF communications systems that utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience working in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science

  • 3+ years of experience with Python or C++

  • Experience with electrical engineering or software development

  • Experience with signal processing theory

  • Experience with developing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms

  • Ability to work lead a team environment to brainstorm and innovate new ideas

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

   

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with using Agile processes and tools, including JIRA or Confluence

  • Experience with using version control, including GitHub

  • Experience with using Linux systems

  • Knowledge of RF theory and machine learning tools, including TensorFlow or Keras

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
