Business Financial Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Provide business financial management and project management support to a DoD agency. Maintain responsibility for documenting financial analysis projects, including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis. Ensure management's comprehension of financial and budgetary issues while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and government regulations. Maintain responsibility for financial analysis, tracking and monitoring of financial expenditures, general program management and progress tracking, basic meeting coordination and conference planning, and document coordination. Generate and analyze program documents, including funding documents, multi-slide briefings, and presentations. Maintain responsibility for analytical, technical, and administrative duties in one or more phases of the budgetary process. Work with a fast-paced multi-discipline team made up of technical subject matter experts, project and financial analysts, contract administrators, government partners, and government program managers supporting the advancement of a wide range of current state-of-the-art technology areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with managing defense programs
  • 3+ years of experience in a DoD environment
  • Experience with generating and analyzing the development of programs, including budget and schedule creation and financial commitment, obligation, and expenditure tracking
  • Experience with managing schedule, budget, and program risks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with new program acquisitions, solicitations, and contracting actions
  • Secret clearance required
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with financial analysis
  • Experience with performing financial analysis of and supporting defense research and development programs
  • Experience in working with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) financial system
  • Experience with generating Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) or Purchase Request (PR) documents
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and team orientation
  • Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance preferred
  • BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • PMP or CGFM Certification
