Cerner Revenue Cycle Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Apply expertise in scheduling processes, workflows, and computer applications to drive positive end user experience and optimize usage of scheduling applications in the Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) being implemented enterprise-wide by the DoD. Consult with DoD medical policymakers to facilitate proactive support efforts across EHR solutions. Lead scheduling implementation activities and coordinate with clients and vendors to identify and resolve domain-level architecture issues. Leverage extensive contact with functional users, including senior leadership levels within the Military Health System (MHS). Comprehend problems, bring clarity to ambiguous situations, and work across Cerner teams and MHS Revenue Cycle departments to analyze the development of a strategy to create client satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with the revenue cycle 

-3 years of experience with Cerner Millennium, including patient accounting registration, scheduling, and areas of the revenue cycle

-Experience in leading implementation activities, including coordinating with clinical and administrative staff and IT vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree and an additional 4 years of professional experience or MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the DoD, including inpatient and outpatient medical treatment facility operations

-MA, MS, or MBA degree with a concentration in Healthcare Health IT, Health Information Management, Systems Management, or Healthcare Administration

-Certification in an area of the Revenue Cycle, including Health Information Management, Coding, or Revenue Cycle
