Computational Analysis Consultant

Key Role:

Support, as a technical consultant, the development and management of innovative government-run research and technology programs centered on the computational analysis of complex physical systems. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers while conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility and the defense applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with program ideation and technical program management, and brief materials out for government R&D efforts. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward groundbreaking research efforts developing new understandings and applications of computational analysis of complex systems such as quantum turbulence and nanophotonics. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with researching numerical techniques such as nonlinear PDEs for applications to physical systems

  • 2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Doctorate degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with applying advanced numerical techniques to quantum systems

  • Experience with defense research and development

  • Knowledge of computational physics is a plus

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent organization and client service skills

  • Doctorate degree in Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, Statistics, Economics, or a quantum science and technology related field preferred
