Cybersecurity Enterprise Strategic Planner, Senior

The Opportunity:

Warnings about cyber threats are everywhere and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands (CCMD). In all of this “cyber noise”, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you – a Cybersecurity Enterprise Strategic Planner who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As a Cybersecurity Enterprise Strategic Planner on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with Joint Staff to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan for the Strategic Cybersecurity Program (SCP). You’ll provide cyber threat analysis functions to support SCP reviews of both future and legacy systems cyber survivability risk posture and assist the Cyber Council managing the SCP. You’ll draft, facilitate, and track the formal submission of cyber survivability intelligence requirements for an adversary cyber threat database for decision-making of DoD Cyber Leaders and SMEs. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones with cyber vulnerability analysis. You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission. You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience researching, reviewing, analyzing, and making mission-assured, risk-balanced enterprise risk management recommendations

  • Experience with Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessments and providing recommendations to mitigate cyber survivability vulnerabilities

  • Knowledge of representing CCMD interests in evaluating DoD policy and technical solutions

  • Ability to compile, track, and analyze Combatant Command (CCMD) compliance levels in support of Joint Staff and DoD CIO direction

  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAM Level III Certification

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in IT

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
