Cybersecurity Governance and Communications Analyst

The Challenge:

Warnings about cyber threats are everywhere and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to the Department of Defense. In all of this “cyber noise”, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you – build your knowledge as a Cybersecurity Governance and Communications Analyst who knows how to break down complex problems into succinct presentations.

As a Cybersecurity Governance and Communications Analyst on our team, you’ll work with military and civilian personnel to communicate their cyber risks, applicable policies, and mitigation plans. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the communications that provide compliance and risk management awareness to senior government officials in order to make informed decisions.

In this role, you may lead a small team and demonstrate knowledge in planning, directing, and managing cybersecurity governance programs and processes in large complex organizations at either an enterprise or IT service functional level. You'll apply experience in preparing cybersecurity governance materials, authoring short cybersecurity articles, and coordinating security relevant data in order to brief executive leadership in a DoD organization. You'll support government leadership to establish and implement standards of governance based on DoD policy across multiple divisions. You'll coordinate with organizational divisions to collect, develop, and deliver quality materials and facilitate executive meetings, capture meeting minutes, and track action items on a weekly basis. You'll research and develop communications regarding timely cybersecurity-related news and policy and coordinate across organizational divisions to collect, develop, and distribute timely and relevant communications.
