Data Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the proposed and delivered solution matches the customer’s technical and functional requirements and commit to customer success and realization of business benefit. Provide recommendations and solutions for business data across multiple Army readiness, force management, deployment, HR, and logistics, financial systems, and other business and operational systems. Maintain responsibility for creating and maintains technical roadmaps for major transformation of legacy systems and data into a modern cloud-based environment. Drive new technology initiatives and bring solutions with quality, efficiency, and reliability. Oversee and lead an extended technical team and work in conjunction with the program manager to size, manage, scope, and assess the risk of the project. Learn new technologies and translate them into working software and provide thought-leadership to clients across business and technical project dimensions while solving complex business requirements. Leverage expertise in verbal communication when facilitating information discovery sessions with business leaders to extract all appropriate terminology and context.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with progressive data modeling, data architecture, or database administration

  • Experience with data management concepts and activities, including industry best practices for data sourcing, key data elements, data quality management, metadata, or Enterprise Data Management (EDM) policy, process, and procedures

  • Knowledge of Cloud migration within the DoD

  • Knowledge of modern business software as a service solutions, including SAP S4/HANA, Salesforce, or ServiceNow

  • Knowledge of developing standardized data vocabularies across large organizations and multiple business units, data issue identification, analysis, and remediation

  • Secret clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with major DoD data transformation efforts

Clearance:
