Database Administrator, Senior

Key Role:

Design, create, and maintain databases in a client and server environment. Perform database analysis, design, development, reporting, security support, and performance monitoring and tuning. Review and ensure integrity via standardized support tools. Ensure that assignments are performed in accordance with database administration guidelines, standards, and procedures for database development, implementation, testing, and migration using Agile Software Development practices. Respond to complex customer-reported systems problems in production. Review database design and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and improvements. Maintain security and integrity controls. Develop stored procedures and triggers using PL/SQL. Implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with administering database systems, including Microsoft SQL Server and Database Management Systems (DBMS)
  • 8+ years of experience with implementing and monitoring database architectures and providing system documentation
  • 5+ years of experience with reviewing database design and integration of systems
  • TS/SCI clearance required
  • BA or BS degree
  • Security+ or DODD 8571 Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
  • Knowledge of methodology, federal information system policies, including NIST 800.53, FISMA, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and configuration management
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Clearance:
