Defense Policy Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Participate in the identification, analysis, evaluation, and monitoring of foreign and domestic systems and instrumentation, methods, procedures, and processes. Perform all-source scientific and technical intelligence analyses to determine characteristics of various systems and functions of instrumentation. Report changes, trends, and implications regarding the design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation. Solve complex information requirements problems via a combination of analytic judgment and proven analytic practices. Prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodologies and results.

Basic Qualification:

-1+ years of experience in a professional or military environment

-Experience with data analysis and visualization and business intelligence tools, including Microsoft Excel and Tableau

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

-Ability to conduct problem identification and analysis, including research or information gathering and identify recommendations or resolutions under tight deadlines and time constraints

-Ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with policy or program analyses

-Knowledge of US government and DoD agencies or operations

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail

-Ability to work independently, cooperatively, and collaboratively as a team member

-Ability to meet schedules and timelines consistently

-Ability to develop and manage client relationships

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including non-technical writing

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-BA or BS degree in Public Policy, Administration, or Political Science
