EV Charging Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity:

As an energy engineer focusing on infrastructure resilience and climate action, you understand the complexity that comes with implementing technology that meets climate goals while still achieving the high level of energy resilience that is required at military installations. That knowledge is key in the development of solutions that shift the DoD off of the reliance of fossil fuels and toward carbon pollution-free electricity. The transition from fossil fuel light duty vehicles to zero emission vehicles is one of the first key steps in meeting climate objectives. We’re looking for an engineer who is able to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to provide clear technical recommendations that meet current goals and prepare for future targets.

At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform the way our clients view electric vehicle charging. Our team develops solutions to power system issues related to electric vehicle charger installations on antiquated electrical systems while incorporating emergency backup power and carbon-free energy solutions. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer who specializes in power systems and can provide technical knowledge to help us design and develop solutions to these issues.

On our team, you’ll learn how to assess the possibility of campus-wide fleet electrification by performing detailed analyses of the existing infrastructure and future EVSE requirements to provide solutions that resourcefully increase energy capacity while meeting mission and climate requirements. You will directly impact the climate-energy sector by influencing electric vehicle charging infrastructure implementation and exploring the possibility of utilizing renewable energy over traditional generation types. This is a chance to use your problem-solving skills while gaining experience in defense and installation energy.

Take on exciting challenges as we transform the definition of climate-driven resilience.
