Energy Performance Analyst

Key Role:
Support DoD program staff across the full portfolio of energy performance programs to provide program management and analyses of the program. Assist with the evaluation of energy performance projects and assess partnerships with industry, utility companies, and public agencies as they relate to advancing DoD energy performance initiatives. Analyze current and pending energy policies to assist federal program clients with understanding market impacts and needs to modify federal programming. Apply knowledge of the technical, business, market, and policy landscape related to one or more disciplines around energy efficiency, fossil energy, and renewable energy to assist clients with strategic and tactical solutions. Apply knowledge of financing mechanisms, federal, state, and local policies, and best practice benchmarks to assist clients with solving challenges related to compliance, business case selling, and outreach. Recommend possible solutions to complex or ambiguous client challenges. Apply advanced consulting expertise and define scope and appropriate approaches to new assignments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of experience with utilities and energy planning, program management, and execution
  • 5+ years of experience with DoD, Service staff or Joint Staff
  • Experience at the Office of the Secretary of Defense
  • Ability to evaluate energy performance projects and assess partnerships with industry, utility companies, and public agencies as they relate to advancing DoD energy performance initiatives
  • Ability to develop comprehensive briefings and whitepapers related to DoD installation energy
  • Top Secret clearance
  • MA or MS in engineering, science, technology, or management

Additional Qualifications:

  • MA or MS degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical field with a focus on energy preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
