Executive Briefings Specialist

The Opportunity:

Are you searching for a position where you can use your briefing creation and project management expertise to run a project from concept to completion? We’re looking for you, a skilled technical briefing communications specialist, who can help ensure success through careful research, analysis, coordination, and effective messaging.

On our team, you will be responsible for creating and managing government executive briefings at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). You’ll apply experience and expertise in communicating technical information to create client briefings for a range of technical and non-technical audiences, including senior academic, commercial, defense professionals, and stakeholders such as Congress. In addition, you'll design, organize, write, and edit technical documents and work with government leadership and staff to ensure consistency of message across multiple documents with a strong attention to detail. You’ll manage the creation and coordination of various briefings concurrently, including deadlines and planning, and lead review meetings with leadership. You’ll coordinate across various teams for larger-scale briefings and projects. You’ll analyze briefing materials to maintain the continuity of the style of content and manage updates and revisions to a comprehensive electronic library of technical documentation.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with creating slides and electronic media, utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint

  • 3+ years of experience with document creation, coordination, and editing

  • Experience in project management, tracking, and coordination throughout the entire cycle, including management of multiple projects and tasks

  • Experience in coordination across teams, as required

  • Ability to maintain on-time performance and attention to detail standards, including editing acumen

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and translate technical ideas into widely comprehensible statements or work with technical staff as required

  • Ability to create accurate and well-written documents and presentations in a timely manner

  • Secret clearance 

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting work at Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E), or Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA)

  • Experience with supporting government executives

  • Experience in the semiconductor and microelectronics fields

  • Experience with providing analysis and support to defense research and development programs

  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and a team orientation

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations

  • Possession of excellent prioritization and time management skills

  • Possession of excellent technical writing skills

  • Possession of excellent client service skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
