F-35 Systems Engineer

As an F-35 systems engineer, you know leading-edge weapons, sensor, and communications systems are critical to national defense. We need your skills and expertise in the systems engineering lifecycle to support our clients' needs to develop creative solutions that directly impact the warfighter.

As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll provide expertise in developing system requirements, requirement decomposition, evaluating verification plans and procedures, and assisting the F-35 enterprise with its digital transformation. Your experience in the DoD acquisition processes is key and makes you an integral part of delivering a client-focused solution.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the enterprise by supporting the growing list of F-35 FMS nations. You’ll work with a large community of aerospace and naval engineers across the firm and collaborate with clients to deliver world-class solutions to support the development and design of advanced mission and avionics systems within a DoD acquisition program. You will apply systems engineering and acquisition knowledge along with advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Your engineering knowledge will help expand and improve F-35 acquisitions across our nation's allies.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role

  • 2+ years of experience with DoD weapon system acquisition in requirements management

  • 2+ years of experience with VT&E, including developmental or operational, working requirements on a DoD ACAT-III or larger Acquisition Program

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and IBM Rhapsody

  • Experience with working FMS cases

  • Knowledge of MBSE Tools

  • OCSMP Certification

  • INCOSE, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP, Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
