F-35 Weapons Integration Engineer

Key Role:

Research, design, develop, and test weapons, air vehicle, and guidance and control subsystems for the F-35 weapons system. Analyze aerospace product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods. Evaluate new technologies for application in improving design of aerospace weapons systems. Plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate testing of aerospace systems. Perform risk assessment of aerospace systems and generates risk mitigation plans and strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role
  • Knowledge of qualification and approvals requirements for weapons and stores
  • Ability to review proposals and engineering drawings, including using engineering expertise to evaluate the proposed design against the F-35 Program requirements
  • Ability to work and interface effectively with stakeholders, including weapons or stores manufacturers, in-service support organizations, weapons IPTs, qualification and approving and acceptance authorities, and all F-35 IPTs
  • Active Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent organizational and project management skills
