Government Partner Liaison

Key Role:

Cultivate formal partnerships with other DoD and interagency offices and organizations located in the Continental US and abroad on behalf of a DoD client. Conduct face-to face briefings and site visits, teleconferences, and written communications. Maintain responsibility for assisting DoD and interagency offices and organizations with filling out forms and documentation to establish formal partnerships and support the client to process them internally, including interfacing with multiple client representatives. Provide client organization capability briefings to partnered DoD and interagency offices and organization and assist these offices and organizations with accessing the support services available from the client. Prepare reports, analyses, and strategy options on the status of partnering initiatives for the client, liaise across multiple work streams, and synchronize activities with peers to support the client.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with the DoD or military

-Knowledge of federal government departments, agencies, structures, and staff processes for DoD and military services

-Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly in writing, including e-mail, position paper, and PowerPoint, face-to-face, including briefings, round-tables, desk-sides, and working meetings and over the telephone

-Ability to explain, coach, and support government partner counterparts through the mechanics of staffing interagency agreement processes

-Ability to interact with, inform, and influence mid-to-senior-level government personnel

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with military human resource policies, programs, and systems

-Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps structures and processes

-Possession of excellent client facing and consultant skills

-Ability to apply expertise in military human resource policies, programs, and systems to plan and support analyses enabling improved organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, process, and human capital or culture
