Internet Protocol Telephony and Voice Technician

Key Role:

Work under general supervision to assist with the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise voice communications networks. Coordinate with subscribed voice providers to ensure holistic voice coverage and minimum outages to the clients. Work with the client Help Desk to troubleshoot and resolve Tier I, II, and III voice interoperability issues in appropriate time.  Assist with configuring and deploying new IP phones to customer locations.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with IT, network administration, or communications technology

-2 years of experience with Cisco Voice and collaboration systems or similar systems

-2+ years of experience with installing and troubleshooting network cabling

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, CompTIA Security+ certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of existing DoD voice networks, including CMS or DRSN

-Knowledge of voice protocols, including the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)

-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
