Military Training Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Bring in-depth understanding expertise to support the DoD client in their oversight role for military training and military training capability. Provide technical, analytical and program management support to help the client address its responsibility to provide direction, policy, guidance and program support for all aspects of military training, to include training capabilities, training ranges, operating areas in all domains including land, air, sea, and cyber, and to ensure operational readiness by contributing to the development and implementation of the DoD’s military training strategy and policy. Review and develop Congressional reports and responses to Congressional inquiries; policy analysis and development; information gathering and basic research; drafting official letters, memoranda, and other staffing requirements; working with the Military Departments and supporting defense wide working groups. Support the client’s mission objectives by engaging with both DoD and civilian partners and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with the management of military training ranges
  • 5+ years of experience with performing or supporting activities related to military training, ranges, exercises
  • Knowledge of the DoD organization
  • Knowledge of experience in legislative research and analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and database management
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of geospatial software to create and manipulate map products that illustrate military locations throughout the world
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic office
  • Possession of effective written and oral communication skills to support senior DoD leadership
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • MA or MS degree
