Nurse Clinical Informatics Coordinator

Key Role:

Provide clinical informatics support for an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I Major Automated Information System (MAIS) program for a DoD Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Implement and use DoD information systems required for patient care initiatives. Leverage experience with clinical informatics and delivery of direct nursing care in inpatient, critical care, or ambulatory care environments.

 

Basic Qualification:

-5+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)

-Experience with MS Office

-Ability to support all aspects of the project including planning tasks, monitoring progress, and identifying potential issues 

-Ability to evaluate applications/system vendors for DoD EHR system needs 

-Ability to serve as a subject matted expert and liaison between stakeholders, system vendors and PMO staff and leadership    

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree

-Registered Nurse (RN) Certification required

 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Military Health System (MHS) or Cerner

-Experience in an Adult Inpatient, Ambulatory and/or Emergency Department

-Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD)/Defense Health Agency (DHA), or VA program
-Ability to adapt to fast-moving environments and changing requirements 

-Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills 

-Public Trust clearance

-Advanced Practice Certification in a nursing specialty
