Nurse Practioner Informatics Coordinator

Key Role:

Provide clinical informatics support for an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I Major Automated Information System (MAIS) program for a DoD Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Implement and use DoD information systems required for patient care initiatives. Leverage experience with clinical informatics and delivery of direct clinical care in inpatient, critical care, or ambulatory care environments.


Basic Qualification:

-5+ years of experience in clinical care delivery in Adult Inpatient, Ambulatory and/or Emergency Department setting

-Experience with MS Office tools   

-Ability to support all aspects of the project including planning tasks, monitoring progress, and identifying potential issues 

-Ability to evaluate applications/system vendors for DoD EHR system needs 

-Ability to serve as a subject matted expert and liaison between stakeholders, system vendors and PMO staff and leadership  
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree

-Certification as a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) required


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Military Health System (MHS) or Cerner preferred

-Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD)/Defense Health Agency (DHA), or VA program preferred   
-Ability to adapt to fast-moving environments and changing requirements 

-Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills

-Public Trust clearance
