Operations Research Analyst

The Opportunity:

Do you love solving problems? Are you passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing and developing recommendations for a creative solution? On our multi-disciplinary team of analysts and data scientists, you’ll apply analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, and multi-objective decision analysis to deliver solutions and inform Senior DOD leadership decisions.

You won’t go at it alone; you’ll work alongside our team to conduct research, collaborate with stakeholders, develop models, prepare visualizations, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data. Alongside the analysis, you’ll develop briefs, documentation, and presentations to inform Senior Marine Corps Leadership decisions. Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that help transform Marine Corps Installations. Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Research 
  • Experience applying simulation and optimization models  
  • Experience leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses 
  • Experience  with R, and Python  
  • Experience building client relationships, developing requirements to inform analyses, and presenting to stakeholders 
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced and diverse environment
  • Secret Clearance   
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience developing and applying optimization models, or simulation models to inform resource allocation decisions 
  • Experience developing graphical user interfaces with R Shiny 
  • Experience in Software Development 
  • Experience preparing and presenting senior leadership briefings and papers 
  • Experience with the DOD
  • Experience with DOD Installation Management  
  • Experience with DOD facility planning, construction, and maintenance processes 
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or similar field
