Palo Alto Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network DoD needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you’ll consult for the DoD as they work on a reliable network to support DoD critical missions. You’ll lead a team assisting clients with learning the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then lead the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network and security components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • 5+ years of experience with designing, configuring, or maintaining Palo Alto network and security solutions for the DoD or IC
  • Experience with developing and deploying BGP routing solutions using Palo Alto
  • Ability to analyze requirements, design, implement, and operate highly available and scalable network and security solutions using Palo Alto
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain IAT II Certification within 90 days of hire

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with architecture modernization in the DoD or IC
  • Experience with cloud infrastructures and deployments
  • Ability to create business cases to evaluate the financial impacts of alternatives or operations
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field
  • Palo Alto PCNSE or PCNSA Certification
  • IAT III Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
