Schedule Analyst, Senior

The Challenge:

Are you searching for a position where you can use your project or program scheduling and planning skills to make a difference? We need you to help manage some of the large programs in the federal government. You know how to help clients and teams define, plan for, track, and achieve their goals. You’ve managed and integrated schedules of 1000s of line across workstreams and teams. You know MS Project or Primavera and have all kinds of tricks for developing, analyzing, and reporting on schedules. You can determine if the project is on-track, realistic, and healthy.

On our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work across civil and defense agencies in the Washington DC metropolitan area. You’ll develop and analyze project or program integrated master schedules with a diverse team of leaders, technical SMEs, business and acquisition professionals, clients, and stakeholders. The real power of project analysis comes from communication, so you’ll create and manage multiple projects or program schedules, provide status updates, and develop analytical reports that effectively communicate to all members of the client team and stakeholders for effective portfolio management to assist with recommendations for improvement to project leadership. Through continued interfacing with the client and internal program management on relevant schedule issues, you’ll help resolve, report, and brief on schedule status and program health to varying levels of management. You’ll implement sustainable project management processes. You’ll contribute to recruiting, mentor and develop other staff, support business development, and help to mature our cutting-edge capabilities.

You Have:

-3+ years of experience with development, including managing and integrating large project schedules, such as critical path evaluation using Microsoft Project or Primavera

-3+ years of experience with supporting projects and program management

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel

-Ability to establish, develop, manage, and analyze project schedules with minimal oversight

-Ability to assess schedules and other project control data critically and communicate priority findings to teams

-Ability to manage client and team relationships

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with project, program, or portfolio performance metrics, including establishing, analyzing, and reporting

-Experience with earned value, budget management, cost estimation, portfolio management, or risk management

-Experience with developing a resource-loaded schedule

-Experience with performing schedule risk assessments (SRAs) and enterprise risk assessments

-Experience with government consulting and training others on scheduling best practices

-Experience with computer programming, including Visual Basic Macros

-Experience with data science or data visualization tools, including R, Tableau, Power BI, and Python

-Experience with supporting programs and contracts in the federal government

-Ability to work well within in a matrixed, cross-functional, and diverse professional organization

-Ability to be flexible, show initiative and innovation, and deal with ambiguous and fast-paced situations

-Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Business, Economics, Finance, or Mathematics

-Project Management Professional (PMP) or Schedule Professional (PMI-SP) Certification
