Semiconductor Device Technology Consultant

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform compound semiconductor technology for the DoD? As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to serving as a strategic consultant for high-risk, high-payoff government research and development programs involving leading edge semiconductor electronics, including the technical areas of wide bandgap compound semiconductor circuit design, analysis and fabrication. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to impact national security investment in the advancement of state-of-the-art integrated compound semiconductor transistor technologies, including GaN, InP, diamond, and other advanced material platforms, by combining strategic advising with in-depth technical analysis.

Our team provides assessments of new technologies to support senior-level client decision makers. That’s why we need you, an engineer who specializes in wide bandgap devices, to assist with technical program management, program development, and briefing materials for government R&D efforts. You'll conduct background research to evaluate the feasibility and defense applications of new semiconductor device-related technological concepts and produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients. You Have:

-5+ years of experience with semiconductor research

-Experience with the design, fabrication, and analysis of field effect transistors

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree

Nice If You Have:

-2+ years of experience with post-graduate electronics

-Experience with defense research and development programs

-Experience with technical projects or program management

-Experience with authoring technical papers and reports

-Experience with the design, fabrication, and analysis of III-V transistors or GaN HEMT technology

-Experience with RFIC development and RF or Microwave design

-Knowledge of emerging wide bandgap semiconductors for RF or power electronics technology

-Knowledge of semiconductor device physics

-Ability to convey key program goals and plans to technical and non-technical audiences

-Ability to stay up-to-date on current and emerging technologies to support new concept development

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in EE, Physics, or Materials preferred; PhD in EE, Physics, or Materials a plus
