Software Product Manager

Key Role:

Oversee the development of artifacts and metrics to ensure the successful fielding of program software. Apply software and technical project management knowledge to support Software Requirements Management, Interface Management, Software Design, Software Quality, Software Reviews, Software Test Approach and Results, and Software Processes and Metrics. Manage strategic and business decisions related to product or product group creation, development, positioning and marketing. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with reviewing and analyzing technical artifacts, including Requirement Work Packages, Software Requirement Specification, Interface Work Packages, Test Plan, Procedures, and Results, Software Product Anomaly Reports, software metrics, Contract Data Requirement Lists, Base of Estimates, or technical data
  • Experience with the assessment on technical maturity, leading indicators and the quality of software products
  • Experience with reviewing and assessing software assurance evidence in support of certification requirement or efforts
  • Experience with reviewing and assessing data releases, including Technical Assistance Agreement, Class Guides, or Disclosure Delegation Letter
  • Experience with managing and communicating schedule, cost impact of any issues, and provides recommendations for solutions
  • Experience with providing communication on the progress of process changes that occur
  • Experience with providing editorial and technical comments on Chief Software Office’s project and process documentation
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
