Strategic Communication Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Provide on-site DoD Front Office support during normal business hours in Arlington, VA. Coordinate with Government personnel and execute the Public Relations/Public Affairs tasks harnessing professional expertise in the U.S. military, joint warfighting, and event and project management. Interpret technical, C4/Cyber-specific ideas and concepts into broad themes and link them to the National Defense Strategy (NDS), National Military Strategy (NMS), the Capstone Concept for Joint Operations (CCJO) and other authoritative Government documents and sources, draft fact-based, well-researched, persuasive and high-impact messages and other textual and editorial content for various internal and external stakeholders and audiences. Maintain situational awareness of C4/Cyber issues, and work collaboratively with military staff action officers to create, iterate and update deliverables, from inception to acceptance and approval by the organizational Director and Vice Director.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Strategic Communications, Public Relations, C4/Cyber, or Executive level support

  • Knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, methods, strategies, tools or tactics used in commercial, including industry, and private sector and Government PR, PA, strategic communications, event, and project management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines, with mid-level and senior U.S. military and civilian staff in a highly professional work environment

  • TS/SCI Clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Joint Staff or in a U.S. military joint environment
