Systems Administrator and NOC Manager

The Challenge:
Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the DoD? We’re looking for a systems administrator to perform as the Network Operations Center manager overseeing four shift leads and ten junior systems administrators in a Network Operations Center environment. The Network Operations Center manager will help the team ensure 24x7 maintenance of the integrity and security of servers and systems across the enterprise. You'll work with the entire team to ensure that information is properly being passed down between shifts and provide situational awareness to contractor and government leadership, as needed.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll supervise the system administrative support team responsible for managing incoming Tier-II and Tier-III help desk support tickets, engaging network engineers to resolve the issues that end users face and act as the liaison between the system admin team and internal and external stakeholders. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management with status updates to be provided daily. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas of redundant, multi-classification enterprise networks. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. You’ll work closely with your client to ensure there is clear communication between all parties involved. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve executive communications across the DoD. This position requires client site delivery and is located in Arlington, VA.
