Training Designer and Analyst, Senior

The Challenge:

That's why we need you, a Training/Instruction Designer who can easily analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training materials to support change management activities for the future execution of Navy pay. Join our team to improve workforce knowledge, skillsets, workflows, and end-user adoption of new systems by the development of training materials to support day-to-day Navy pay operations. Support development of training approaches and training materials such as desktop guides, manuals, and knowledge articles for a workforce to adopt new business process flows, standard operating procedures, and policies for a new Navy pay system. Assist in developing a training deployment plan to ensure the workforce is trained in time for pay system initial operating capability. Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor system agile development life cycles to identify risks to end user training integration required for mission essential functions and tasks. Refine and update deliverables as technology advances and decisions are made that impact mission execution. Assist with the implementation of training and assess the effectiveness of training solutions. Document all work in accordance with existing policies and regulations. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in training, systems software, or change management

  • Experience with key national security and Navy strategic and policy documents

  • Experience with creating documentation for end-user training materials and instructor facilitation materials

  • Knowledge of the Analysis Design Develop Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) model

  • Knowledge of key Navy programs and systems currently in service and under development

  • Ability to develop and brief data summaries to support decision-making

  • Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Navy or Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) operations, systems, or processes for personnel and pay

  • Experience with PeopleSoft

  • Experience with Navy or Service staff as military, civilian, or contractor, including Joint Staff, OPNAV, Navy SYSCOMs, and BSOs

  • Ability to work as a Self-starter in a Fast-paced environment and Multi-task while continuing to be a forward thinker

  • Possession of excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $85,000 to $105,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
