Training Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Provide training management support on a Major Automated Information System (MAIS) program for the deployment of a DoD Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including assess EHR train requirements and provide oversight of the EHR’s training program. Provide consultation on complex training projects and to the top-level contributor or specialist in the training field. Work extensively with a variety of stakeholders to effectively provide training management support to civilian government, military, and vendors. Exhibit degrees of creativity and latitude.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with working in the training field

-Experience with IT and related systems training supporting healthcare

-Experience with project management and software implementation life cycle

-Experience with daily oversight and direction to a staff of training personnel

-Experience with oversight design, plans, and implementation of an organization’s training programs, policies, and procedures

-Ability to research new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs

-Ability to assess training requirements and provide feedback to manage information system and automated data processing subject matter training classes   

-Ability to interact with other vendors for employee participation in an outside training program

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD preferred

-Experience with Electronic Health Record systems implementation preferred, including Cerner, Epic, or Allscripts

-Ability to work and communicate with remote clients, vendors, and team members, effectively

-Ability to identify dependencies with other business lines in the Program Office

-Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

-Secret clearance

-Project Management or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
