Data Architect, Lead

As a data architect on our team, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of data architecture solutions for Service Oriented Architecture, Event -Driven Architecture, virtualization, big data analytics, cloud computing, managed services, and outsourcing. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by providing advice on data warehousing methods and approaches, analyzing data architecture-related business needs, working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

In this role, you’ll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in developing strategies impacting the planning and delivery of IT services offered to internal clients, including Metadata or Master Data Management problems
  • Experience with data management, transformation and migration experience using cloud native data management pipelines, technologies, and open source tools
  • Experience with automating operations and workflow procedures for data transformations
  • Experience with big data architecture designing end-to-end solution on ingest, process, and analysis of large and complex data set
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) databases, including Aurora or RedShift
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Level Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with data management and transformation skills to provide efficient solutions and strong focus on business outcomes
  • Experience with working in an agile development environment and collaborating with Application Development and Architecture Teams
  • Experience with designing secure data layer as part of application or analytics environment
  • Master’s Degree
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional Level Certification
  • Relevant Agile Certification
  • Relevant Security Certification
