Key Role:
Conduct and apply health science expertise to science and technology client challenges. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts, and limited industry knowledge. Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity and refer more complex issues to higher levels.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience working within a biorepository setting
Experience handling cryogenic samples and working with sample inventory management systems
Knowledge of proper cryogenic sample handling and basic cryogenic storage system maintenance and repair
Ability to work within cryogenic systems safely and lift racks into and out of liquid nitrogen dewars
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working within a government facility
Experience with biorepository quality systems and proper use of PPE within laboratory settings
Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including proper use of Biological Safety Cabinets, sample aliquotting, and sub-culturing
