Cloud Data Engineer

This is an opportunity to implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Supporting Public Health, you’ll have the chance to architect data systems, stand up data platforms, build out ETL pipelines, write custom code, interface with data stores, perform data ingestion, build data models, and serve cloud data and AI services across a Public Health Agency. Share your skills in analytical exploration and examination of data to support the assessment, design, build, and maintenance of scalable platforms. You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in building data and advanced analytics solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP

  • 1+ years of experience with operationalizing data and advanced analytics solutions

  • Experience with building and operationalizing data pipelines, including ETL/ELT in Azure, AWS, or GCP

  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or RShiny

  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with building Machine Learning models and operationalizing Machine Learning workloads

  • Experience with PySpark, R Spark, or Enterprise R Server

  • Experience with a Data Catalog tool, including Alation 

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Data Management

  • Knowledge of CI/CD

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes 

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or Data Science
