Epidemiologist, Mid

Key Role:

Provide scientific advice, support, and technical assistance to various public health agencies that involve established scientific and technical methods. Prepare written reports, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and other communications on surveillance and epidemiologic data, analytics, and research studies. Present technical expertise and knowledge to a broad audience and train junior staff.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with epidemiology or public health

-Experience with developing and coordinating the sharing of educational or informational health materials, including reports and scientific abstracts, manuscripts, and responses to inquiries

-Knowledge of statistical techniques and software used in epidemiologic analysis, including SAS, R, or CRM

-Ability to support active national and international infectious disease and public health surveillance programs and analytics for research projects and studies

-Ability to support the creation of databases and datasets by working closely with developers and statisticians

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MS degree in Epidemiology or Public Health required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working on influenza viral strain epidemiology preferred

-Public Trust clearance
