Laboratory Informatics Analyst

Key Role:

Apply laboratory expertise in the principles of computer and information science to the advancement of life sciences research, public health operations, and informatics. Support the development of informatics strategy, technical and business requirements, data analytics, dashboards, and reports. Work in collaboration with a team and maintain strong communications within the team. Contribute to providing solutions to potential challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis using Excel, Microsoft Access, or SQL

  • Experience with developing client-ready reports using Microsoft Word, including abstracts, publications, grants, and proposals

  • Experience with presenting to a professional audience and developing effective PowerPoint presentations

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with microbiology, virology, genetics, immunology, and laboratory techniques

  • Experience in working with or implementing laboratory IT systems, such as LIMS, LIS, quality management solutions, inventory management solutions, automating laboratory instruments, or commercial analytical tools

  • Experience with working in the federal health industry, such as CDC, NIH, or FDA

  • Experience in working with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI

  • Ability to maintain collaboration and time management

  • Ability to work on cross-disciplinary teams

  • Knowledge of laboratory and quality standards, such as CLIA, CAP, GLP, or GMP

  • MA or MS degree
