Laboratory Information Management Systems Implementation Specialist, Junior

You’ll configure an Enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (ELIMS) in support of CDC laboratory activities. You’ll meet with laboratory personnel and supervisors to determine ELIMS requirements. You’ll configure the system to meet these requirements by writing required scripts and SQL. You’ll provide support to laboratory personnel in the use of the ELIMS system. You’ll identify areas for improvement in the system. You’ll assist with designing, creating, and implementing new solutions for identified gaps and defects. You’ll interact regularly with clients and present complex work products to clients in an understandable and compelling manner.

You Have:

-2+ years of experience with laboratory work in an academic or professional environment

-Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

-Knowledge of SQL, C#, or JavaScript

-BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with best practices for software support and development

-Experience with public health

-Experience with record keeping and project documentation

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in science-related field

-Laboratory Safety and Quality Training and Biosafety Level II preferred

-Public Health Training
