Research Project Management, Senior

Key Role:

Lead the design, innovation, and development of studies, applications, or systems by proactively engaging with project teams to define precise questions, appropriate methodology, and deliverables. Develop new strategies for analysis, SOPs, and other methods. Evaluate project risks, project progress, and quality of deliverables. Prepare written reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other communications. Prepare reports, presentations, and papers for publication. Present technical expertise and understanding to a broad audience. Train junior staff.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with influenza research, including virology, immunology, or epidemiology.
  • Experience with laboratory methods and operations, including publication
  • Experience with Biosafety Level 2 laboratory studies
  • Knowledge of quality management standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to draft and prepare written reports and PowerPoint presentations for both scientific and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • PhD degree in Molecular Biology or Virology required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with working in Biosafety Level 3, genomics, or vaccine development preferred
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Public Trust clearance
