Data Architect, Lead

Key Role:

Lead a team of data architects to develop and implement enterprise data strategies that enable business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning. Ensure that data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. Apply expertise in database design, data modeling, data integration, modern data implementations, big data tools, and data exchange standards to build a robust and reliable data ecosystem.  Provide technical and engineering consultation and support for the use of data services, standards, tools, and artifacts. Act as an advisor to management and customers on data architecture and standards. Create best practices and standards for data management and mentor data architects. This position is located in Austin, TX.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with data design and architecture

-Experience with dimensional data modeling and schema design in operational databases and data warehouses, including data management and governance

-Experience with developing, validating, publishing, and maintaining logical and physical data models

-Experience with database implementations, database language theories, database design, SQL or database programming

-Experience with custom or structured extract, transform, and load (ETL) design, implementation, and maintenance

-Experience with Microsoft Azure, including SQL PaaS, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), or Azure Data Factory

-Experience with working in a DevOps environment and solutioning Business Intelligence architectures

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Spark and big data architecture

-Experience with health and finance data

-MA or MS degree
