Business Process Data Architect, Senior

We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for the USAF.

As a data architect on our Enterprise Architecture team with the USAF, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions to resolve enterprise data integration issues. In this role, you’ll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices, and perform enterprise data architecture activities, including evaluating and documenting the current state of portfolio data systems to identify and inform customers and stakeholders of opportunities to improve Enterprise data execution. You'll lead data management and enterprise architecture resources to define detailed architectural guidelines regarding interoperability, data structures, preferred data end-states, data recovery, data security, data backup, and other aspects of enterprise data architecture. You'll create visual and written digital content to clearly present data architecture concepts and solutions to customer leadership, stakeholders, and peers. In this position, you'll use logical and analytical thinking to design innovative data solutions for use by USAF customer client organizations. You'll lead development of a comprehensive data architecture incorporating enterprise-wide inputs with industry-leading best practices.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with data architecture
  • Experience with data modeling tools, including CA Erwin, Oracle SQL Developer, Er and Studio, System Architect, or Provision
  • Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Ability to apply big picture thinking and drive clients toward enterprise solutions and integrated data models
  • Ability to adapt to changes in direction and scope
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Associate’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with data architecture in the U.S. DoD or U.S. Air Force
  • Experience in working with government senior leadership to execute technical objectives
  • Experience with developing logical and physical data models
  • Experience with developing taxonomy, terms and definitions, and controlled vocabularies
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and Atlassian Jira
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
