Data Engineer

This is an opportunity to support data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Driving innovation, you'll have the chance to architect data systems, stand up data platforms, build out ETL pipelines, write custom code, interface with data stores, perform data ingestion, and build data models. Perform analytical exploration and examination of data. Lead the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms. Guide your clients to solve their most pressing challenges. You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience working in a professional environment

  • 3+ years of experience with information technology, software development, or software design

  • 3+ years of experience with Extract, Translate, and Load software translating between multiple file formats using scripting 

  • Knowledge of cloud hosted platforms and SDLC best practices

  • Ability to communicate effectively with client and team members in a distributed remote work environment

  • Ability to comprehend stakeholder needs effectively, communicate development plans, and track progress milestones

  • Ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and manage competing priorities

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience with Extract, Translate, and Load software translating between multiple file formats using scripting

  • 2+ years of experience with working in Agile development environment languages, ETL tools, and methodologies

  • Experience working with Cloud and Cloud-native services, including AWS and Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with Big Data ETL tools, including StreamSets and NiFi

  • Experience with scripting or programming languages, including Bash, Ruby, Scala, Python, or Spark

  • Knowledge of distributed data processing technologies, including Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Possession of excellent critical thinking skills, including assessing numbers, trends, and data to reach new conclusions based on findings

  • Master's degree


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 110,000 to 129,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
